Client – Hitachi Energy Holding Ltd

Location : 100 Distribution Circle Mount Pleasant PA 15666 (Hybrid model after training within a few months of assignment)

Duration – 6 months (Temp to Hire Opportunity (Depend on Performance)

Main Accountabilities:

Responsible for purchasing, expediting and managing all material aspects as on a given project. Purchase product in a timely manner. Negotiate best possible price. Update schedules. Manage and expedite material. Develop long term agreements with suppliers. Participate in supplier qualifications and capabilities. 6 years’ experience in procurement and expediting as a buyer in a machine tool environment.

Would like to have a candidate with Purchasing Experience, SAP Experience and possessing good organizational skills. Someone with a high level of SAP experience would be desirable.

  • Must have prior experience working with SAP operating systems.
  • Identify new Suppliers in cooperation with relevant Category Team member.
  • Work with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists to qualify new Suppliers.
  • Identify and recommend Suppliers for Framework agreements to management and execute upon approval.
  • Create RFQ's as needed and perform competitive bid analysis in order to determine the optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Minimize annual cost increases from Suppliers.
  • Supports Proposal teams by providing relevant market information and recommending qualified Suppliers.
  • Act as the Primary Contact with Suppliers for all Purchase Orders. Enter order conformations, receive shipping documents, verify appropriate delivery dates, and ensure invoice processing. Resolve all discrepancies from the time an order is placed till the last invoice is paid.
  • Oversees supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolves performance issues.
  • Initiates purchase orders (PO) in the SAP system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
  • Aligns supplier orders with Customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of purchasing experience.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • High school degree is required.
  • Good organization skills. Ability to multitask.
  • Proactive with suppliers.
  • Strong Negotiation skills. Self-Starter with excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical skills. Plan, organize and expedite Suppliers as needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Act as the liaison between Production Planning and Suppliers.
  • Review and analyze data to determine the most cost-effective opportunity reducing the TCO.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
